Tips for a Successful Consultation
If you are anything like the majority of our clients, you probably have a bathroom or kitchen that’s outdated - it may not even be that it's old, perhaps it doesn't reflect your style or maybe it has become boring or just plain ugly to you (did you see that kitchen above?!) You desperately want to make some changes, but your budget doesn’t have room for a remodel, and your lifestyle won’t accommodate losing use of your living spaces for weeks on end. We get it - and we can help!
The first step toward getting your “new” space is a Complimentary Design Consultation. The consultation is an opportunity for us to get to know each other; we get to learn what you want the result of your makeover to look like, and you get to learn what we can do to help you achieve that.
A successful consult requires effective communication from both parties. Many times we take a look at a space and sit down to the question, “What do you think we should do?” While we’re flattered you already trust our judgement, what we think or might personally do in our own homes is not necessarily what you would want, and certainly no two clients have the same style!
Here are a few things you can do to help a consultation go as smoothly as possible and really help us get you to your end goal of really loving and enjoying your space:
· Know your budget - our mission is to affordably transform your space, but “affordable” is subjective. We want to give you the most bang for your buck, so please be open and honest about what that is for you!
· Know your likes and dislikes - are you obsessed with Joanna Gaines’ farmhouse chic style, or do you prefer Christina El Moussa’s colorful California vibe?
· Show us your inspiration - have magazine clippings, a Pinterest board, or saved Instagram photos ready to show us. Don’t be afraid to get specific with what you want – we can likely replicate it affordably for you!
